So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies around the park. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹. Kenyan president joined other leaders in Ethiopia for the African Union Summit.
Globally, Turkey and Syria still trending after that devastating earthquake in the region. The death toll has now passed 45,000🙀. Some good news as last night and today 3 people have been pulled out alive after 11 days🎊.
There are growing concerns about spread of diseases with no clean water available for most survivors 🙀. In Syria trucks full of aid have continued arriving.
Also trending, world leaders are meeting at the Munich security conference in Germany. President Zelensky gave the opening speech, thanking them for their support this far and urging for more weapons to help in the war.
Speaking of the war, Belarusian president Lukashenko stopped by Moscow to meet his counterpart Putin. They must have talked about destroying Ukraine 😹.
Finally, a shocking incident in Bulgaria, when 18 people were found dead in an abandoned truck🙀. 34 others in critical but stable condition rushed to hospital. They were refugee migrants being smuggled into Europe. My sincere condolences 😭
