Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. Hopefully you are enjoying or enjoyed your day. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So today I didn't have the morning walk as I got up with some stubborn headache. So I had a little bit of outdoor stretches then I was back indoors for some resting, took some painkiller and a little bit of daily chores. Then later catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the mall for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. I did enjoy the cool evening breeze 🍃 and beautiful sunset. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Turkey and Syria still trending after those devastating earthquakes. The death toll has surpassed 42,000🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭.
Today another miracle rescue of a 17 year old girl 🎊, she spent ten days beneath that rubble.
The UN is appealing for a billion dollars to cover immediate humanitarian needs of the quake survivors. There is urgent need for food, medicines and basic amenities.
Meanwhile in Russia is trying it's best to capture Bakmut but Ukrainian soldiers are not backing down 😹.
Across the pond in the US president Biden has spoken on the flying objects in the sky, promising to take similar action of shooting down anything that seems suspect😹.
Finally, Spain has approved menstrual leave, teen abortion and trans laws. Measures allow workers suffering period pain to take paid time off, right to abortion in state hospitals has been enshrined. 16 and 17 year olds can now undergo an abortion without parental consent 😹.
