Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's been another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day draws to a close am raring to go with my stepping activities and also some of the trending stories I came across. Thank you for reading and let's get right into it 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, all eyes on the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. The death toll has surpassed 41,000🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭. Some good news as people were pulled out alive 8days after the event 🎊.
In north Syria, aid has reached more places via newly opened crossings. Rebel areas in Syria have been suffering slow response from the govt.🙀.
Also trending, heavy fighting reported near Bakmut in eastern Ukraine as Russia launched a new offensive in the region. Meanwhile NATO ministers have been meeting in Brussels arranging new weapons, supplies for Ukraine.
In the middle east, European countries have condemned Israel for illegal settlements in the occupied west Bank after the govt authorized 9 sites for development 🙀.
Across the pond in the US, former envoy to the UN, Nikki Haley has announced her 2024 presidential bid, i think on republican party. I don't know if Trump will be running too😹.
Trending down under, Iran's president is in China meeting his counterpart Xi Jing ping. I guess they had lots to talk about as China is Iran's main exports buyer especially oil and gas.
