Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's definitely Bob's day on the blockchain and as always I am glad you stopped by yet again 👏☺️. Hopefully your weekend is going great, let's quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the shopping centre for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. Over in DRC that stand off between the M23 rebels and the army kept going.
Globally, all eyes still on the earthquake region in Turkey and Syria. The number of people dead has risen to 26k🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭.
It is not all doom and gloom but believe it or not people are still being pulled out alive🎊; giving the rescuers hope and strength to keep the search going.
Also trending, Wagner mercenaries chief is admitting Russia is facing tough Bakmut resistance from Ukrainian soldiers 😹. The battle still rages in east Ukraine.
Then big protests in France against the pension reforms that seeks to raise retirement age from 62 to 64 years, among other changes.
Across the pond in the US, tomorrow is the big day. Patrick Mahomes leads out the Kansas city chiefs to take on Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia eagles. It will be the first Superbowl to have two black quarterbacks battling it out for the Lombardi trophy 🏆. May the best team win. Rihanna will be doing her thing during the half time. I won't be staying up late though 😹, will see it on Monday.
Finally, let's finish off down in New Zealand. It's crazy weather as the country braces itself for cyclone Gabriel which will touch base with winds of up to 150 km/hr🙀. They have recently recovered from serious flooding. Let's hope this one won't be as severe as predicted.
