Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. We just began the weekend, hopefully you are having a nice day this far. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. Today was much warmer than yesterday so I made the most of it in the fresh morning air🍃. Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube. There were some interesting soccer matches going on in the premier league.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. East African presidents met at a summit in Burundi to urge for a ceasefire in eastern DRC where the M23 rebels have been causing havoc. Still in the region, the Pope met children displaced by the ongoing conflict.
Globally, the US trending as it finally shot down what it calls a surveillance balloon from China 🙀. The Chinese have insisted it's a weather balloon that veered off it's airspace 😹.
Earlier the US closed three airports in north Carolina as the the huge balloon, the size of two to three buses floated over. They have finally brought it down and am curious to know what they will find😹. And why would China send over such a big visible thing if indeed they were spying. Let's wait.
Across the pond in Europe, the fighting raged on in the eastern part of Ukraine. There is a fierce battle for Bakmut. Today Russia and Ukraine swapped prisoners.
Lets go to the middle east, trending in. Israel. There have been protests in Tel Aviv for the sixth Saturday in a row🙀. People are protesting against the far right govt of Benjamin Netanyahu bent on judicial reforms that people worry will weaken the supreme court.
Finally, honour killing of a 22 year old you tube star has caused outrage in Iraq. She was reportedly killed by her father😭. I don't know the whole story but that's quite barbaric and savage.
