Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending as a barrage of Russian missiles killed 11 people in a morning attack😭. However Ukraine shot down 47 of the 55 missiles, 17 of which were aimed at Kyiv 🙀.
Also trending, Israeli army has killed 9 Palestinians, including an elderly woman in Jenin refugee camp in the occupied west Bank 😭. At least 20 others injured with live ammunition during the large scale raid. Israel calls the raids anti terrorism operations🙀.
Across the pond in the US, Meta has agreed to restore Trump's facebook and Instagram pages😹. Also trending, Boeing facing lawsuits for misrepresentation, remember two of their planes crashed due technical issues in Indonesia and Ethiopia. Families of the victims will do everything possible to ensure justice. Let's see how that ends.
Down under in Australia, it was Australia day but many don't celebrate it that way, choosing instead to call it Invasion Day. A day of mourning to remember the indigenous people who suffered and we're displaced as the new settlers, arrived by ship and took over their land😭.
Finally, NASA scientists say a truck-sized asteroid is expected to pass earth on Thursday, within the orbit of broadcast satellites 🙀. What a close shave 😹
