I am definitely grateful for this day and as it draws to a close, it's time to take a peek into how my stepping went and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Come on, let's dive in 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the mall for some groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. Meanwhile in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also a little bit of crypto/twitter. let's get into that next
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, the Kenyan president in Senegal after his trip to France yesterday. There is some sort of conference happening there.
Then protests in South Africa because of the continuous black outs that are making life hard for residents. Some areas the blackouts last 6 to 10 hours🙀.
Globally, Ukraine very grateful about Germany's decision to send them Leopard 2 tanks and also allow other European countries with the tanks in their arsenals to send them.
The US, will also come through for Ukraine by sending abram tanks.
However, Russia brushed off the whole thing and called it absurd 😹.
Political shenanigans in India as they banned 🚫 a BBC documentary on prime minister Modi😹. Students from universities said power and internet had been cut to stop them from watching that documentary 🙀. The govt says that documentary lacks objectivity and is propaganda.
Across the pond in the US, it has come out that the school was warned about the 6 year old having a gun. This before the boy fatally shot and wounded his teacher🙀.
Also trending, a Moscow court ordered the closure of Russia's oldest human rights organization 🙀. The Moscow Helsinki group becomes the latest organization to be shut down for being critical of the Russian government. Will things ever change in Russia?
Finally in crazy weather, a cold snap has hit Asia with Afghanistan, China and Japan experiencing tons of snow.In northern China a record low of -53 degrees centigrade reported. Let's hope the cold won't last long.
