Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, we just began the third week of the year and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some world cup which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹, kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending, rescuers in Dnipro losing hope of finding any more survivors in the rubble of the bombed apartment building.
Elsewhere, armies of Belarus and Russia have started joint military drills which they are saying will be defensive in nature 😹. Whatever that means.
Still in Europe, Italian mafia boss has been arrested after being on the run for 30 years🙀. And in Germany, defence minister has resigned after months of criticism.
Across the pond in the US, marches held on Martin Luther king Jr day. People calling for electoral reforms. One in five black people can't vote 🙀.
China also trending as Lunar new year is fast approaching. Millions of people will be traveling to their home towns. The biggest migration of people on earth🙀. Fears are high of another surge in covid infections, but am sure everything will be ok.
