Happy Sunday, and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.Hopefully you are fairing on well with your new year resolutions😹. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk as I slept a little longer this morning 😹. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and then the afternoon saw me go out to the mall for some groceries and window shopping.
Then I was back home for a short but refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some you tube videos and news. I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk, a rather short one just to stretch out my legs. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, just another quiet Sunday, people relaxing enjoying the weekend before a new work week tomorrow. Over in DRC, shocking news as at least 12 people died and several injured after a bomb blew up in a church 🙀. My sincere condolences 😭. The Islamic state group claimed responsibilty.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russia continued sending destructive missiles. People taking underground shelter in Kyiv, Lviv and other cities. Ukraine shot down 20 of the 30 missiles. Ukraine still appealing for more help with weapons and ammunition.
Elsewhere climate activists in Davis protested over the role oil firms at World Economic Forum. They demanded stronger action to tackle the climate crisis.
Over in the middle east, PM Netanyahu remained defiant despite protests against Israel judicial reforms😹. Opponents say changes would cripple judicial independence, foster corruption and set back minority rights 🙀.
In Asia, Nepal trending as news of a plane crash spread. The yeti airlines plane crashed killing all 72 on board 🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭. The govt has formed a panel to look into it.
Across the pond in the US, President Biden has declared a disaster in California amid deadly storms🙀. Let's hope the skies calm down and gives them a break. Biden has also paid tributes to Martin Luther King on the anniversary, saying his dream has not yet been achieved, this while attending service at Martin Luther's church. Also trending, $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot has been won by single lottery ticketholder😹, oh wow, someone got so lucky.
