Happy Sunday, and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.Hopefully you are fairing on well with your new year resolutions😹. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk as I slept a little longer this morning 😹. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and then the afternoon saw me go out to the mall for some groceries and window shopping. There was a group of acrobats performing but I didn't get to watch their whole show as I had some things to pick up across town. But I did capture below pics before I left.
Then I was back home for a short but refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some you tube videos and news. I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk, a rather short one just to stretch out my legs. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, just another quiet Sunday, people relaxing enjoying the weekend before a new work week tomorrow.
Globally, Ukraine denied Russian claims that it killed hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers 🙀. Moscow said it's retaliatory strike killed more than 600 soldiers, but Kyiv said it's armed forces were not affected. A bit of Russian propaganda😹.
Also trending, people in a German village protested against expansion of a coal mine.
In the middle east, thousands of Israelis protested against Netanyahu's new new government 🙀.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden said to visit the US/ Mexico border. This as new immigration rules come into effect.
Brazil also trending as supporters of far- right former president Bolsonaro, who refuse to accept his election defeat, invaded Congress, supreme court and other govt buildings 🙀. Police had to use tear gas to disperse them. Another test on democracy that has fully failed, remember Jan 6 in the US?
In Asia, China trending as it opened the borders fully and has dropped it's zero covid policy. Quarantine is no longer required of foreign travellers 💯.
Finally, in crazy weather, a once in a century flood has hit Australia 🙀.This global warming issue should be taken seriously💯.
