So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies from the shopping centre. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹. In Congo, the M23 rebels gave up another town, they are retreating in the sake of peace💯.
Globally, Ukraine trending as shelling and artillery fire was heard despite the unilateral ceasefire that Russia announced yesterday 🙀. Both sides blaming each other.In Russia, state media announced that the three day ceasefire was in effect.
Across the pond in the US, the house still in a deadlock as Kevin McCarthy failed to garner the required 218 votes for the 12th time 🙀. He however managed to flip 14 of the 20 members that have been opposing him. Let's see if he can get through.
Still in the US, today was the 2nd anniversary of the attack on capitol hill. Members stood on the steps for a moment to remember the five people who died that day.
Down in Mexico, 29 people died in an operation to arrest the son of drug lord El Chapo 🙀. These include 19 gang members and ten army personnel. He was eventually arrested leading to the riot and violence.
In crazy weather, flooding in California has left thousands without power and warm weather in Europe leaves ski slopes without snow🙀.
