Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. So have you started getting used to the new year yet 😹 It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, US trending as house of representatives failed to elect a new speaker in the first round of voting. This hasn't happened in over hundred years 🙀. Kevin McCarthy fell short of majority in a republican controlled chamber as he faced opposition from far right members. A second round of voting set to happen.
In the south, Brazil trending as soccer superstar Pele was finally laid to rest after funeral ceremony attended by the president Lula Da Silva 😭. May his soul rest in eternal peace 💯.
Across the pond, Israel trending as the national security minister was accused of provocation as he entered Al Aqsa mosque🙀. It has prompted condemnation from Palestinians and several Arab countries.
Finally, China has said covid curbs on its citizens is unacceptable. Many countries are starting to ask for covid negative tests before Chinese citizens are allowed in 😹. This is due to the surge of infections in China. I think by now we have all developed a sort of herd immunity.
