TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The last weekend of the year is upon us, a wonderful holiday weekend, as everyone waits to usher in the new year😹. I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for it, it's a blessing to be alive 💯. I thank you all for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get rolling 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies from the shopping centre. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹. People looking forward to the new year.
Globally, Ukraine trending as, early Friday they intercepted all 16 kamikaze drones👋 sent by Putin to keep destroying their power grids in Kyiv.
Also trending, kickboxer and internet celebrity Andrew Tate was arrested in Romania and detained in a rape and human trafficking case🙀. Well known for his misogynistic videos demeaning women.
Not far from there, the Serbian Kosovo border crossings were reopened after ethnic Serbs agreed to remove the barricades that had been blocking roads. The Serbian army that was on high alert retreated.
Across the pond in America, US House committee released Trump's tax after a long fight 😹. In some years the expenses are exaggerated versus the income and in 2020 he paid no tax at all 🙀.
Finally, the world continued paying glowing tributes to Pele, the football legend. Brazil has declared three days of mourning 😭. Pele will be laid to rest on Monday and may his soul rest in eternal peace 💯.
