Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain and as always glad you stopped by. While at it may I say Merry Christmas to all those celebrating. It's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories that made headlines. Thank you for reading and let's get started 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube. The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹 but the whole country is in the holiday mood. People urged to remember the less fortunate, also no drink driving , use of uber encouraged. Some people go overboard 😹 .
Down in South Africa, trending news of an oil tanker explosion that killed 9 people in Boksburg😭. Apparently the truck got stuck under a low bridge then started leaking causing the massive explosion. Injuring passersby, damaging a nearby hospital and some homes.
Globally France trending as police fired teargas at Kurdish activists and anti racism groups protesting yesterday's shooting of 3 people🙀. They want police to designate it as an act of terrorism.
Meanwhile in Ukraine, Russia attacked the southern port city of Kherson with missiles around 11AM at a shopping and residential area killing 8 people and injuring many others😭. Russia lied when they said they wouldn't attack civilian areas, they are starting to get desperate.
Across the pond in the US, the winter ❄️ storm Elliott continued, up in Montana reported -39 Celsius and in El Paso Texas -18 Celsius🙀. Power outages and travel chaos as many flights were cancelled.
Trending in Afghanistan, the Taliban ordered NGO's to send women workers home🙀. This as they continued their vendetta against women, you'd think they were born by men😹.
Meanwhile, water canons were used to disperse women protesting that ban on female students in universities.
More crazy weather in Japan as heavy snowfall caused power outages and closure of roads 🙀.
Finally, thousands of people are gathered in the Palestinian city of Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus, shortly the midnight mass will be held at the church of Nativity. Covid had shut tourists out for two years but now things are back to normal 💯.
