Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. Merry Christmas, happy holidays😹. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the mall for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, today our new president marked one hundred days in the office. Nothing much has changed infact prices are much higher since he took office🙀.
Globally, Ukraine trending as president Zelensky made his way back after visiting Washington yesterday. Today he stopped by Poland for talks with the Polish president.
Meanwhile in Ukraine, fighting raged in the eastern city of Bakmut. Deaths of soldiers reported 😭 but Ukrainian soldiers holding their ground.
Elsewhere in Moscow, Putin has accused the US of fighting a proxy war in Ukraine 😹, dismissed the patriot missile system as old and he would counter it🙀.
Across the pond in the US, FTX exchange founder SBF, has appeared in a New York court to face charges for one of the biggest frauds in the world. $8 billion dollars of customers cash gone🙀.
He was freed on a 250 million dollar bail but will be under electronic surveillance.
Still in the US, a deadly winter storm about to set in , with the coldest temperatures in 40 years🙀. Travel delays and cancellations expected, stay warm.
In other crazy weather news, flooding reported in Malaysia with thousands of people evacuated.
