Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary Sunday and the stepping continued unabated. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news. Today was the final match of the world cup, more on that later. I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹. Today was the final day of the Nairobi festival and the park was packed with people and kids having fun too🎊.
Up in Tunisia, the opposition coalition have asked president Saied to resign. This after yesterday election that had quite a low turn out of nine percent🙀.
Globally, Qatar trending, after a thrilling match Argentina emerged victorious🎉🎊 but it wasn't easy. For most of the match Argentina was two goals up but France came back in at the 81st minute forcing extra time and penalties. So the world cup is back to Argentina for the first time since 1986 when Maradona reigned. Congratulations to Argentina🎉🎊👋. France gave a good challenge and they take home $30 million while Argentina $42 million 😹.
There will be no sleeping in Argentina and sadness in France. But I wanted Messi to win as he retires, Mbappe is still young. We will see him in the following world cup in 2024.
Congratulations 🎉🎊 to Qatar too for organizing the tournament 👋. Today was also their national day and they put up a lavish closing ceremony. I loved the fireworks at end and also the medal giving ceremony. The Emir and France's president in attendance. Bravo..
So that's what's been trending all day. I didn't get to see what's happening in Ukraine and other parts of the world😹.
