Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Come on 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto n world cup, lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going. Kenyan president is in Washington as he joined other African leaders to Biden's US-Africa summit. Mostly aimed at countering Chinese and Russian influence in Africa. China have been doing the most building roads, rails and airports😹. There's no resource on this planet that Africa doesn't have, we just have poor leadership in most countries.
Globally, an ally's summit was held in Paris France to raise money for Ukraine. Countries pledged over a billion dollars. The first lady of Ukraine was there in person while Zelensky addressed them electronically.
There's still widespread blackouts in several places as Russia has been targeting the energy grids🙀.
Across the pond in the US, scientists have made a breakthrough in nuclear fusion 🎉👋. They say with fusion energy there is no pollution or harm to the environment and will lessen reliance on fossil fuels. It's gonna take a few more years to get it working but definitely a great step in the right direction.
Also trending, the FTX exchange founder has been arrested in the Bahamas 🙀. The US is charging Sam Bankman Fried with defrauding of investors off billions of dollars. Who knows how many lives he ruined with poor credit management.
Finally let's finish with some football shenanigans 😹. The match between Argentina and Croatia almost over. Messi and team doing the most, punishing Croatia three goals to nil. It means Argentina are in the finals👋🎉.
