Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. As always I am grateful for this day, the last Sunday of November💯. Thank you for stopping by and please keep reading 👓 as I let you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories I came across. Let's go 💨.
So as usual, I began the day with the fast paced morning session. Brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲, enjoying the cool morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting and then later my usual daily chores. I had a big pile of laundry to get through. Then I also kept abreast with the trending news and emails. Later in the afternoon I had a little bit of walking going to the city center for some groceries and window shopping. Then I was back indoors for the usual refreshing nap. The evening came fast and I woke up to cooking, watching a bit of youtube and quite interesting world cup⚽ matches. Then I was out as the sun was setting to enjoy the slow paced evening walk that winds down my day. The moon was out full and bright just like yesterday. Finally let's quickly look at what was trending in the media.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going as politicians attended church services.
Over in Mogadishu, Somali reports that the notorious al shabab have attacked a 5 star hotel with guns and explosives🙀. A hotel frequented by the ruling class.
Globally, China trending as protests spread in in many cities as anger mounts over ‘zero-COVID’.
Residents and students rallied in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing, with some even calling on Xi Jinping to step down🙀. People are just fed up with the authorities restrictive COVID-19 policies. Some covid testing kiosks were set on fire😹.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, snow ❄️ will worsen the plight of Ukrainians as millions go without power 🙀. Kyiv's mayor says 25 percent of the city is still without electricity but teams are working non stop to restore it 👋.
Finally let's finish with some football shenanigans 😹. Costa Rica kept their world cup bid alive by beating Japan one nil. Meanwhile,Croatia sent Canada out of the world cup by beating them 4:1😭.
Another shocker in the world cup as Morocco beat number 2 team, Belgium 🙀. Violent/angry fans damaged property in Brussels😹. That is definitely not what football is all about.
The final match is on with Spain and Germany head to head. It's currently 1:1. It's a nail bitting match, let's see how that ends. Am looking forward to tomorrow's games 😹
