Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's a new week and the stepping continued unabated, we are nearly done with November. As always I am so grateful for this day💯. Alright, time to wrap things up and look back at how my day turned out including some of the trending stories I came across. Buckle up and let's get going 💨.
So just like yesterday I got the day started with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a nice sunny morning with some fantastic breeze🍃. Next I was back indoors where I rested, watched the news, did the little daily chores etc. My next walking came in the afternoon going for a few groceries at the shopping centre. Then I came back home did a little bit of crypto and politics youtube. Fell asleep for the afternoon nap, so refreshing as always. Then the last walking was the slow paced evening walk after 6pm, nice way to end the day. I hear it raining outside. Next lets take a look at what's been trending.
Locally, political shenanigans kept going 😹, Kenyan president stopped by DRC for talks with his Congolese counterpart. Kenya has committed to peace in the region and has sent troops to help fight off M23 rebels who are causing chaos in the Eastern part of that country😹.
Down in South Africa, a court has ruled the medical parole granted to Jacob Zuma as illegal. So he may be headed back to jail🙀.
Globally, Indonesia trending as a 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck in west Java causing 162 deaths and lots of injured people😭. Thousands of homes have been damaged and a search for survivors continues amongst the rubble.
Still in Asia, Malaysia's Anwar Ibrahim seeks the help of other parties to form a coalition that will form the next government. This after Saturdays inconclusive election.
Some trending news from Turkey as the southern town of Karkamis was attacked with rockets fired from Northern Syria🙀. Turkey has blamed the Kurdish YPG and PKK armed groups. Turkey says it plans to send troops by land following that attack.
Elsewhere,Egypt hailed El-Sisi, Erdogan handshake as new beginning in ties between Egypt and Turkey. The two leaders ‘confirmed the depth of historical ties between the two countries’ during their brief encounter, this was at yesterdays opening ceremony of the world cup.
Finally, speaking of the world cup, it continued with three exciting matches. Iranian players didn't sing along to their national anthem in protest to what is happening in their country🙀. I caught some of that action between Senegal and the Netherlands. Looking forward to tomorrow's games😹.
See you again tomorrow on a terrific Tuesday ☺️. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max 💯.So that's it, stay safe, take care and good bye 💖💕💖 Hakuna Matata 😎.
