Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. Today was much warmer than yesterday so I made the most of it in the fresh morning air🍃. Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube. I noticed some interesting soccer ⚽ matches going on. If you folow the EPL, Brentford pulled a fast one on Man city at their home ground😹.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. A historic pact between the Ethiopian govt and Tigray rebels was signed in Nairobi 👋. This agreement will facilitate humanitarian aid to reach people affected by the fighting in that area.
Elsewhere Kenyan soldiers arrived in DR Congo to help Congolese soldiers fight the M23 rebels in the east of that country.
Globally, Ukraine trending as they continue to restore the city of Kherson 👋. The Russians left lots of damage to infrastructure. Today the celebrations continued as they brought back Ukrainian TV, radio and police.
Across the pond in the US, vote counting underway, the Senate neck and neck as Democratic candidate won in Phoenix, AZ making a draw of 49 seats on each side; next is Nevada and then the run off in Georgia set for December 🙀. The Republicans leading in Congress by a few seats.
In Asia, president Biden attended the ASEAN summit in Cambodia. Next stop will be the G20 meeting in Bali Indonesia next week, on the sidelines he will meet China's Xi Jinping 😹.
Finally, Russian president Putin and his Iranian counterpart Raisi, have discussed deepening political, trade and economic cooperation in a phone call. The two leaders are strengthening ties as they face increasing discontent at home and isolation from the west😹.
