TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us this second week of November. I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for this day, it's a blessing to be alive in this day and age💯. I thank you all of you for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's take it away💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. It began drizzling a little but I had already reached home. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹, a new police chief took office promising to deal with the recent hike in petty thefts.
Globally, Ukraine trending as the Ukrainian soldiers made an entry into Kherson where upto 30,000 Russian forces lefts since yesterday.
They were met with joy and cheers from the crowds👋as Ukrainian flags were mounted on various monuments. President Zelensky calling it a historic day. However, satellite images show damage to a bridge and dam in the area 🙀.
Elsewhere in France, a migrant ship that was denied docking in Italy arrived with 230 people on board. France criticized Italy for that😹, but am glad the migrants finally safe after being in dire conditions in the water.
Over in Egypt at the UN COP27 summit, president Biden addressed the gathering pledged US support for climate goals💯. At some point during the address he was jeered by some activists in the hall😹.
Finally, embattled FTX began bankruptcy proceedings as CEO Sam Bankman resigned 🙀. Everyone is wondering how this blue chip crypto company got here. It had even tried to bail out, 3 arrows, terra lunar and Celsius. As I said yesterday we need decentralization and people holding their own keys💯. CEFi has failed but DeFi will definitely succeed.
