Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I have had another great day that am deeply thankful for. So we are bang in the middle of the week and the stepping continued unabated. Time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been plus what caught my eye 👀 in the media streets. So thank you for stopping by and lets take it away💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃.In between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also in crypto.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Today Kenyan president deploye troops to DRCongo to help fight the M23 rebel group. Lets hope we can finally have some peace in that region. Then another win as the African Union announced a historic peace deal between the Ethiopian govt. and Tigray rebels👋. The deal was brokered in Pretoria South Africa. The fighting has gone on for two years, thousands dead and millions displaced😭. Lets hope this one sticks and peace prevails💯.
Globally, good news for Ukraine and all countries relying on grain exports as Russia agreed to rejoin export deal 👋. That under condition that neither of its ships ever gets attacked.
Across the pond in the US, the Fed has raised interest rates by 0.75% in a bid to bring down inflation. This is the 6th time this year that rates have been hiked🙀. Down in Brazil, supporters of Bolsonaro have protested in Rio de Janeiro asking the army to keep him in power🙀 this after he lost to Lula this Sunday.
Also trending, attention seeking North Korean Kim Jong-un test fired at least 23 missiles into the sea😹, prompting a tit for tat as south Korea also test fired its own🙀.
In crazy weather, flooding reported in Chennai India as monsoon season begins. In the US highest temperatures reported in the Midwest for this time of year🙀.
