Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯.So it's been another wonderful day and it's about that time to slow down, get ready for bed 💤. Before that let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also what's trending in the media streets. As always thank you for reading and let's begin 💨.
So just like yesterday, I started the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice session and then I was back indoors for some resting and the usual house chores. It's been quite sunny 🌞 the entire day even as i walked to the shopping centre in the afternoon as opposed to the cloudy☁️ days we have been having lately.
I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the sunset walk, that went well and I made it back home safe and sound. To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The vetting of the new ministers by parliament still ongoing.
Globally the UK still trending after Sunak's appointment. Today he went to see the King before addressing the country outside ten downing street. He warned of the tough decisions that face the country 🙀. There was a video of him from some time back talking about crypto, doing the rounds on twitter. He must have a good understanding of crypto.
Elsewhere in Berlin Germany, EU leaders met to discuss a marshall plan on the reconstruction of Ukraine 👋. The estimated cost would be close to $200 billion🙀. President Zelensky electronically addressed the gathering calling what Russia has done as terrorism.
Finally, protests in Sudan after the one year anniversary of the unending marches trying to remove the military leaders from power. That military doesn't seem to care🙀. More protests in Iraq from the opposition protesting widespread corruption, high unemployment and poor public services.
