Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊.Hopefully your day is coming along great I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. I had a rather short session then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, the president giving a long speech. By the way today was a public holiday celebrating the country's heros who fought for independence.
Globally, the trending story has been the resignation of British PM after just 45 days in office🙀. This after her policies triggered economic turmoil and obliterated her authority. That Liz Truss never misses. The Queen, the economy and now the conservative party😹. All in a matter of weeks. Deadly girl🙀.. But don't feel sorry for her, as an ex-PM she is entitled to a lifetime pay of £115K per annum.
Over in Ukraine, the government announced power cuts and restrictions on electricity amid the destruction caused by Russia. It has also emerged that Russia has hired some personnel from Iran in Crimea 🙀. Remember Iranian kamikaze drones are the ones Russia has been using lately.
Back in Africa, fighting had broken out between two rival tribes in blue Nile state in Sudan they are fighting over land. A curfew is in place to try and stop the fighting.
Finally in crazy weather, severe flooding reported in Chad, thousands evacuated as their homes got submerged. The flooding has also crossed over into neighbouring Cameroon 🙀
