Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Come on 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto, lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going. Today parliament's vetting of the new ministers kept going.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russian missiles rained down in various places targeting power and water facilities🙀. President Zelensky confirmed that a third of power facilities were damaged. A vile and wicked👹 act by Russia considering winter is fast approaching.
Elsewhere in France a major strike was underway by workers from different sectors, the unions urging companies to raise salaries in the face of rising living costs. Some of these corporations make record profits yet remain adamant😹.
In Germany, cyber security chief was dismissed for ties to Russia 🙀, I wonder what exactly he was doing? Another shocker as French cement company Lafarge pleaded guilty to funding ISIS in syria, they have been fined 770 million dollars by a US court..
Across the pond in the US president Biden has promised to send a bill to congress to legalize abortion. That's if democrats retain a lead after the upcoming polls. Remember the supreme court had overruled the case that made abortion legal, a move that has emboldened republican led states to outlaw abortion. Seems they won't have the last laugh 😹.
Over in Iran the UN says as many as 23 children have been killed and several injured since the protests began 😭. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
Finally let's end with some crazy weather, floods inundated parts of Nigeria and have made supply of aid to stranded people quite difficult. Meanwhile the worst drought in 40 years is going on in Somalia, relief food has been dispatched but more still needed 🙀.
