Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary day and the stepping continued unabated. I can't believe it's already mid October 🙀. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news, There was also some interesting and exciting football matches going on. I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The new president still catching steam, touring various places.
Globally, Ukraine trending with the on going war. Russian rockets struck the Donetsk region damaging the mayor's office 🙀. Heavy fighting in Kherson but some residents have began returning to the extensively damaged areas to find their homes in ruins😭.
Elsewhere in France thousands of people rallied on the streets protesting high cost of living, climate change and recent govt pension reforms. I think we need that too in this country 💯, the price of every damn thing has increased this year even salt😹.
Still on the economy, UK's new finance minister Jeremy Hunt has vowed to fix the budget and repair public finance as the country faces increasing inflation.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden praised protesters in Iran for their bravery and for standing up against injustice. I think this new generation is no joke, they are a little radical 😹. Those remarks have led to the Iranian president blaming the US for the continued riots.
Over in Asia, the Chinese communist party congress was underway. Always held after 5 years and president Xi Jinping set to be re elected to continue on as president for a third 5 year term, he will be the longest served leader. The authoritarian rule continues and the 69 year old hasn't ruled out force in getting Taiwan to conform🙀.
