Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯.So it's been another wonderful day and it's about that time to slow down, get ready for bed 💤. Before that let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also what's trending in the media streets. As always thank you for reading and let's dive in 💨.
So just like yesterday, I started the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice session and then I was back indoors for some resting and the usual house chores. It was a nice sunny 🌞 day even as I walked to the shopping centre in the afternoon. I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the slow paced sunset walk and the sunny day culminated into a beautiful sunset 🌇. I did enjoy my walk especially the cool evening breeze. I made it back home safe and sound calling it a day
To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day.
Locally, a rather quiet day apart for the usual political shenanigans😹 as parliament and senate began their sittings/sessions.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russia kept the missiles coming, today in Lviv and Zaporizhzhia 🙀. The mayor of Lviv saying they damaged energy installations.Meanwhile, president Zelensky electronically met G7 leaders and appealed to the them for more air defense capabilities.
Over in Russia, Putin meet the head of the IAEA regarding the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia that Russia has illegally taken charge of.
Across the pond in the US, IMF had their annual meeting in Washington. They have painted a bleak picture of the global economy 🙀. The biggest economies, US, China and EU set to slow down in 2023 amid soaring inflation, high energy prices and that Ukraine war😭.
In the middle east, Israel and Lebanon have reached a historic maritime border agreement on the disputed border line👋. The deal brokered by US has been seen as fair by both sides. They will now get ready for exploration of offshore oil and gas in the region. The world definitely needs more of that gas with Russia and Saudi misbehaving 😹.
Finally, NASA are celebrating after successful diverting the trajectory of an asteroid by crashing a spacecraft into it. The asteroid is 1km in radius and about 1.2 million miles away from the earth's atmosphere🙀.
