Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. As always I am grateful for this day, there are many who wanted to see it but couldn't so we are blessed to be here💯. Thank you for stopping by and please keep reading 👓 as I let you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories I came across. Let's get cracking 💨.
So as usual, I began the day with the fast paced morning session. Brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲, enjoying the cool morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting and then later my usual daily chores. I had a big pile of laundry to get through. Then I also kept abreast with the trending news and emails. Later in the afternoon I had a little bit of walking going to the city center for some groceries and window shopping. Then I was back indoors for the usual refreshing nap. The evening came fast and I woke up to cooking, watching a bit of youtube and quite interesting soccer ⚽ matches. Then I was out as the sun was setting to enjoy the slow paced evening walk that winds down my day. The moon was out full and bright just like yesterday. Finally let's quickly look at what was trending in the media.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going as politicians attended church services. Then celebrations as Kenyans reigned supreme at this year's Chicago marathon👋.
Globally, Ukraine trending, as Russia kept the shelling going in Zaporizhzhia 🙀, killing a reported 13 people in residential area.Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers kept advancing in Kherson, taking back large areas as Russians forces retreated.
Over in Moscow, Putin had called the bombing of the kerch bridge an act of terrorism 😹. An enormous act of terrorism is what he is doing in Ukraine 💯. The bridge is a symbol of Russian power in the region linking Crimea to the Russian mainland. The Crimea he annexed in 2014.
Elsewhere in Asia protests reigned supreme in Iran and Sri Lanka. In Iran political leaders held a crisis meeting as hundreds of protesters swarmed the streets🙀.
In Sri Lanka, police used teargas to suppress anti govt protests. People pleading to be left alone to carry out ☮️ peaceful protests.
Finally, lots of flooding reported around the world. From Thailand, Sikkim in India, Nigeria, Sudan and also Nicaragua 🙀.
