I hope this graphic strikes a cord in your soul for one reason. Otherwise it will strike something near you. It is not something new to read about the value of the dollar. If you are earning in dollar these days easily you can discern where the value is heading.
The problem is you have 24 hours to burn it and to earn it.
While every eye focuses on the US dollar losing its value. The inflation rate was floating at 7% and growing. You can have an idea of the your purchasing power really quick.
Great example I need to get a work done at my place before the pandemic. It should cost me around $1500. I procrastinate since I think I can wait more. Now the issue reappears and it may cost me near $2500.
While the focus lays on the US dollar, other currencies are not doing too good at all. No need to mention them cause all of them are going through the same inflation issue.
I feel like holding Hive makes more sense than holding the dollar.
At least I am getting 2.85% on my Hive power and if I have HBD it is at 12%.
It is just degrading to see you have to do way more for the same dollar you hold yesterday.
As you learn money printing itself does not cause the devalue of the fiat currency. It is the policy in place favoring the control party that causes the issue. We all know debt plays a role but it needs full control to curb inflation and promote growth.
Crypto stands to weather the storm. It is not perfect but you know how many exist and you can pick and chose.
Per example there are 377,134,163 HIVE circulating. I omit the amount of HBD. It is clearly stated and we know almost half of it are in power mode. The blockchain is emitting it at 2.87%. One time I thought it was too much. But now I think it is not enough due to what will come for this community.
It is getting a little expensive to acquire Hive. I recalled in the beginning of 2020 I was purchasing almost 700 Hive for HPUD. It is not easy to do so right now.
Crypto made it possible for anyone to control the value of the token and understand the rapport of inflation. If there is one thing crypto is doing for the world, we are learning and exercising how to deal with fiat and there is a choice.
At the end as a long term holder you will win.
