Ask yourself if there is anything in the story that we can relate to ourselves. is there any character that reminds us of someone we know, have we ever experienced a similar experience, Have we ever studied the concepts discussed in the book in our school, home or life experience, whether the style of the story resembles the style of writing we have ever read before or a movie or television show we've ever watched, write down all the similarities we find and use to help us understand the content of the text.
