Hay guys, how have you been?
I've been working on some oriental characters lately for a D&D themed series of art work. The idea is kind of a mixture of Martial arts and fantasy. I have one character fleshed out, and I am starting the next set of characters I've been kicking around in my head. Since I am a one man show the art work takes awhile to get done (Especially when your looking for a full time gig too!) First thing, I don't want to offend anyone so I've been watching a lot of documentaries about Chinese history to get a better understanding of Chinese culture. And second, I've been playing D&D for as long as I can remember and I'm leaning toward the KARA-TUR Campaign setting, which is set in the Forgotten Realms. Of course there will be some changes as I never did like the way TSR just kind of grouped all Asian cultures together (Which I'm sure Wizards of the Coast will repeat.) Just wanted to get an idea of what people think of my idea, and will post the first set of art work ASAP. (Not to many art jobs in mid west so a real paying job always comes first.) I will be using a lot of the old 2nd Edition stuff (i.e. Logo and Boxed sets) to get the feel I'm looking for. I really don't care for the 5th Edition Flavor (Sorry it's just not for me.) Some of the writing (i.e. names and Logos) will be under copy right and used here with out permission, But all the art work will be original and free for the Steemit community to use as they see fit. Thanks for the support guys and Steem On!!
