I have read this Novel a long time before , so I thought of writing something about it as far as I remember about the novel.

American author Mario Puzo’s crime novel, "The Godfather", details the story of a fictional Mafia family based in ny and headed by Vito Corleone, who is understood to several as The Godfather. A 1972 film of an equivalent name was inspired by this masterpiece. Its translation onto the screen was extraordinary, but there's no shortage of superlatives to explain the book during which the thought was born.
The epigraph to the Godfather is, “Behind every great fortune, there's a criminal offense .” The epigraph given during this novel presents truth picture of a gangster, those who gains lots of wealth and get or achieved much control over the lives of others. The characters are depicted beautifully. You soon see beyond the criminal activity during which men indulge, to the fiercely loyal fathers, brothers, and friends they're. It has a strong story with a gripping plot, which paints a convincing picture of latest York’s underworld of crime, corruption, and power. The way Mario Puzo narrated the characters and their origins is actually a piece of art. The writing fits the tone of the novel, but it’s Puzo’s story about the Corleone family that's the shining feature of the book.
Still shocking that quite 50 years after it had been published, this compelling tale of blackmail, murder, and family values may be a true crime classic. It is a captivating read with an exciting plot and a haunting ending. Even if you recognize the story for watching the movie, the narrative of the novel is enough to stay you engrossed in its pages all night.
