Altcoin, or "alternative currency", is another term used to define cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin. Altcoins are any good or are they just cheap replicas of the original Bitcoin. After the birth of Bitcoin in 2009, many people quickly realized the incredible advantages of cryptocurrency over traditional money. The world of altcoins has developed in an exaggerated way in recent years and now it can almost be defined as an immense panorama: there are hundreds of them.
