You often hear that the best way to earn money is to follow the money trail. In the best scenario, it's better to enter even before everyone gets in! Since playing to earn isn't exactly giving a lot of money as much as before, it's time to look at other ways to make money with the in-game assets! It's a given that no one can predict the future with 100% certainty but if you know someone let me know! For now, we're left to make our own plans founded on educated assumptions. The way I see it, there are 2 ways to earn money in Splinterlands without having to dedicate too much time to playing.
The Slow and Steady Approach
They say the best time to buy is when everyone is panic selling. This means that it's the best time to buy some assets and just HODL. Likewise, you can add a bit every week and sooner or later you will be able to reap the rewards of your investment in the future. The things you can buy include cards, sps, and even land! If you believe in the long term growth of Splinterlands, then you know that holding those assets will pay off in the long run!
At the time of writing, SPS is giving 31.13% APR! That's way better than what we get from banks. The other thing we have to look out for is the SPS airdrop that's giving pretty solid rates too!
The High Risk High Reward Approach
You'd think in a game like Splinterlands there wouldn't be this kind of approach. It's not necessarily what you're thinking. Well, if you were thinking of opening packs, then yes! It is what you're thinking. The fastest and riskiest way to earn money is to open packs and sell the things inside. Yes, you will lose more than you gain, but I'm not saying you should, but just one pack could change your portfolio!
If you check the Hive Engine, you'll see that one pack costs less than 3 usd now! Imagine getting an OP legendary gold foil card from that one pack. That's instantly worth more than 100 USD!
I highly discourage from using this high risk method but I do have to admit, IT'S A WHOLE LOT MORE FUN!
Whichever Path You Choose
Hopefully you consider all the options! If you think I missed something, feel free to comment! I for one will be doing the second path!
