I spontaneously decided that I needed to get into nature. I was in Boulder and I wanted to hike!
When I noticed that I didn't have my sneakers in my car, I felt bummed.

But I wasn't going to let that stop me.

So, I was fine wearing the fashionable boots I Had on to carry me forward on my adventure.

However, when about a 1/2 a mile in to the hike I noticed that my feet didn't want to be held in these boots any longer ...

I contemplated taking them off and hiking barefoot and when that thought occurred to me, I felt my feet say YES!!!!!!

They wanted to touch the ground instead of be separated w rubber soles.

When I did this, I felt the soles of my feet exhale into the soft/hard ground of our earth.

My hike was much slower than normal and I enjoyed this 'forced' pace .... and I used SO MANY MORE MUSCLES in my legs! (waking up the next morning sorer than I ever have from a hike!)

I loved thinking about this process of grounding and filling up on NEGATIVE ions ... rooted in a positive vibe. I felt way more connected and energized from my hike and I am grateful that I listened to the whispers of the soles of my feet.
