Merlin is a 11 year old boy. His best friend is that old gal Jamba, that I introduced you to yesterday. Merlin loves to eat and play, as well as lick Jamba's ear.
As the dogs are getting older, they are needing to be let out more often. We learned this the hard way, as Merlin got very ill about 4 months ago. Merlin had gotten urinary stones which almost killed the poor fella. We decided to take care of Merlin here at the house. We did this so we could give him the most love and attention that he deserves. There were a couple nights where we didn't think he would make it through, but with the help of some apple cider vinegar and a turkey baster (not at the same time), we were able to nurse him back to health. Currently he is enjoying his time running in and outside of the house with the help of the new doggie door that we installed. When we leave him out of his kennel at night, he has been notorious for sneaking into the dog food bag to enjoy a late night snack.
Because of this incident with Merlin, the dogs are all let out four times a day. Once at 7:30am, 12pm, 4pm and 9pm.
