Today I decided to give myself a speed challenge. I completed this pixel art in just over 1 hour, about an hour and a half. Originally I was only going to give myself an hour, but I got tripped up on the first step, the outline! I've never done a war hammer, and it took me a few tries to get a look that I wanted to stick with. Anyway, I did get it done a lot faster than I would have without the speed challenge in mind. Enjoy.
This step took me longer than it should have and ultimately is what made me extend my time just over 1 hour. I just wasn't happy with the outline and overall look, but I guess that's the point of a speed challenge, do it quickly no matter what.
Throwing in some basic colors. Not a lot of time, I already wasted too much on the outline.

I've got the hammer head about as good as I have time for. I would have like to do more, but I'm running out of time.
I added some final highlights to the handle and the ring on the bottom. Had a few minutes left so why not throw some more details on? I did a quick design on the hammer head. No time left, got to call this one finished.
