As I read every word in your post, I felt like I was reading my own thoughts, minus a few extras I have not had to contend with, thankfully. I don't honestly know which is my greatest fear, as all you mention are basically me. When I fail something, I mentally ream myself for not being smart enough or good enough, and therefore tell myself I'm nothing but a failure. I understand what you mean about the staying single as well. I was in an abusive relationship off/on for almost 4 years before I finally woke up to what danger I was succumbing to, before it was too late. Since then, I've been skittish and fearful of going through it again. I fear going through the rest of my life alone, even though I have a son. I have so much love to give, hidden deep inside me, but fear of the past keeps me from giving myself a chance to find someone who is meant to be in my life....upvoted and following :) May we find some way to find comfort and overcome our fears.
