For those of you who, like me, don’t want to spend a fortune to have the right to use photoshop… one of the best freeware alternative, GIMP, just released the newest version. (And it was about time as the last major release is already from 6 years ago) More about the newest release here : https://www.gimp.org/news/2018/04/27/gimp-2-10-0-released/

I’m not a GIMP specialist myself but I do use it from time to time. Especially when I need to cut-out subjects or when I need to work with layers.
Of course I installed the newest version and right now I’m playing a bit with it… and I discovered a completely new tool that is rather funny… the warp transform tool…
As images explain more than text, let me show you an example of what this tool does…
You remember the Greek Giant I posted a time ago :

Well, with this new tool you can make funny effects like this :

He now looks even more like a giant, isn’t it? 😊 And the best part is that you don’t need years of experience to use the tool. I played for maybe max 15minutes to understand how it works.
Ok, ok… it’s not a very “serious” editing tool but hey, a good laugh from time to time never hurts 😉

Curious to see my other work?

Happy to hear that 😉
The best thing you can do is checking out my profile here on steemit ( pixelfan@pixelfan ) and follow me. I’m always happy to connect with other photographers! (And of course I’m always very happy with a little upvote… although a large one is allowed too 😊)
But of course you can also take a look at my website or check out the social media:
