Being born into a poor family meant I grew up learning that I couldn’t always have the things I wanted.
Most of the time, you learn to be content with what you have, not because you don’t want anything, but because you simply know there are more important things to spend money on.
So right now, I’m just indulging myself a little and healing my inner child with stickers. HAHA. 😂
I honestly don’t even know what it is about stickers. Maybe it’s because they’re colorful, cute, and completely unnecessary—which somehow makes them more fun. There’s something oddly satisfying about being able to buy a little thing simply because I like it, without having to justify whether I actually need it.
And I guess that’s one of the funny things about growing up. The things that make you happy aren’t always grand. Sometimes, they’re just little stickers you would have loved as a child but couldn’t have back then.
Looking back, I’m actually glad I had that kind of childhood. It taught me to appreciate simple things. Now that I’m an adult, I can finally enjoy some of those simple things—not because I’m trying to make up for everything I didn’t have, but because I’ve realized I’m allowed to enjoy them now.
So yes, here I am, a grown woman happily buying stickers. 😂
Maybe this is what healing looks like sometimes: not always something deep or dramatic, but occasionally just giving your inner child something she would have been ridiculously happy to have.
And now, I powered up this much. Haha
Photo's mine.😌
