Hi everyone! 😄

Today I will show you an illustration that I made during my school years. At this time, my dog Nala was a puppy. And there was a time when she did a lot of foolish things 😅
It was not an easy time, we couldn't find any solution to make her wise, but fortunately this ugly defect has totally disappeared while growing up. Since 3 years now she doesn't make any foolish thing at all. 😊

So, these are the situations that inspired me to do this illustration.
I reassure you, it is caricatured, it wasn't as serious as that 🤣

Process

First, I thought about different situations to illustrate the drama. Such as the classical poop in the ground, the broken vase, the torn books,...
And I wanted to add an exaggerated thing to accentuate the comic dimension - the fact that she managed to walk on the ceiling and smashed the lamp 😂

Sometimes, when we come back home and that we see what our puppy has made, it can happen that we really ask the question of "but how did she manage to do that?" 😅

Finally, I wanted to add a photo frame in the background representing the wisdom of the dog when it is with its master, to contrast with the scene.

Then I add the major colors - I had a tendency in the past to put desaturated colors and to be shy to use bright colors. So, if I wanted to do it again today, I would change some things.

Then, I decreased the brightness of the whole scene - because I wanted it to take place in the evening, the moment when we open the door and that we discover the scene.

Finally, I add some lights and shadows effects.
