Seven years ago, when living in the Middle East, my manager arranged for a day out, full of activities, for the whole department. I'm a sucker for outdoor activities and so for me it wasn't an option to pass a whole day, all expenses paid, at Wadi Adventure in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, with my coworkers. After spending the morning whitewater rafting and a satisfying lunch, it was time for my colleagues and I to brave the midday heat and head over to the airpark.

In the morning we arrive by bus to the village of 艩urice, where our today's tour begins. This small village has attracted me from the beginning. There is a truly beautiful church in it. We didn't get inside, but it looks impressive from the outside. We enjoy the view of it for a while, I take a few pictures and continue on our way. A rock named Owl Castle rises above the village.

The Paseo de la Historieta is a tribute paid by the city of Buenos Aires to several characters known by the Argentinians. From San Telmo, we started our tour around this street circuit that nowadays houses more than 20 life-size statuettes of each character, made of resin and fiberglass. In this tour apart from finding the characters we could also see other interesting things, such as the house where the creator of Mafalda, Joaquin Salvador Lavado, known as "Quino" lived and where it is said he gave life to the little intellectual girl. You can find it diagonally to the statue of Mafalda, Manolito and Susanita more precisely in Chile Street 371.
