Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll be presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest. In our featured posts, we have whale watching in Australia, a castle in Turkey, and the capital city of Poland. Enjoy!
We are in the middle of the humpback whale migration here in south east Queensland. As they migrate up along the whale highway. North Stradbroke island is one of the best places in the world to do some whale watching from land!
The old-fashioned castles built in cities that have always had a coast to the sea have been dazzling for me. Amasra Castle can be shown as the best example of these. The fact that this is a district of my hometown also makes me happy. I spent my childhood and youth playing games with my friends among these castles that smell of history.
Continuing along Krakowskie Przedmie艣cie Street, we head towards the Presidential Palace. On the way, we pass the Adam Mickiewicz Square, where a monument to Adam Mickiewicz is erected. The monument was unveiled on December 24, 1898, the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth. The statue is 4.5 meters high and was cast in Italy. The column and pedestal are made of granite sourced from quarries in Baveno, Piedmont.
