Once an actual Catholic Cemetery built by Spanish colonizers in the 1800s, it suffered a significant loss during a powerful volcanic eruption of Mt. Vulcan in 1871. This event caused massive land movements, resulting in a considerable portion of the cemetery and surrounding areas sinking into the sea. "

@grindle" Emerging back into the sunlight to have a look at the impressive Monument to the Soviet Army, built in the mid 1950's to honour the Soviet soldiers who died supporting the Bulgarian efforts during WW2. This was something that I was really wanting to see, as it is regularly graffed up by local students and activists alike."
