Introduction

Hi everyone @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's edition of the #TravelDigest. It's been nearly a week since I curated at Pinmapple as I've been travelling with poor network connection. Tomorrow (Saturday) I will be attending my first UK Hive meet up, and am very exciting to be meeting some people that I have been interacting on Hive for a while. But that's for tomorrow. Now let's see what I have in store for you.

馃 Lake on top of a mountain: Peace, serenity, tranquility by leeart@leeart

" At the far edge of the lake, there used to be several huts there as well. I wonder what happened to them. I forgot to ask the ranger. What is striking is the silence. It hits you right away. While yes there is peace and quite, there is calmness, it is uncomfortable. For someone who has been used to man-made noises and sounds 24/7, this is unsettling to hear nothing but nature. The gloomy sky is not helping with that uneasy feeling. I have to admit, I have to keep going back here for me to get used to this what I call natural void."

馃 Barcelona, the "Mecca" of Art and Skateboarding by knowhow92@knowhow92

" Barceloneta is my favourite place in Barcelona to chill out, drink a few beers and hang out after a hard skate sesh. It's a long metro ride to get there but it's totally worth it. So many people, such a beautiful place and the best part??? Sea baby!!!! The beach was always full of life with people either relaxing or playing sports like beach volley. There are many restaurants and bars along the beach if you wanna eat something or enjoy a drink as well as a couple surf spots for anyone into it."

馃 Bubble Net Feeding Whales Caught on Film by dtam@dtam

" It has been a year since I have seen bubble net feeding in Alaska. But this show took us all by surprise. Last week we barely saw any humpback whales at all. We had a few far off tails from whales on the move. So when I spotted a group of several blows all together I made sure we altered course to give the guests a better look. Turns out it was a good thing that we turned because right after everyone walked out to the bow to see them we saw the circle of bubbles forming."
