Introduction

Hi there, @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's edition of the #TravelDigest. I want to do a call out to everyone for your support today. We currently have a proposal to seek funding to support Pinmapple and other related projects on Hive. The proposal is currently funded but in order to ensure it does not lose the funding we need as much support as possible. If you feel that Pinmapple is worthy of your support, we'd love if you can vote for it here...https://peakd.com/me/proposals/209. Thanks so much from the team.

馃 They're Building a CASTLE in Burgundy! (Video & Photo Story) by wulff-media@wulff-media

" Since 1997, they're building a full-fledged castle in the dense forest of the Puisaye, using only medieval techniques and tools! It's an archeological experiment, and about 300,000 tourists annually are flocking to the construction site to watch them do it. The castle is projected to be finished next year, and by the looks of it, that seems realistic. Gu茅delon can be visited March through November."

馃 Spontaneous trip to Talalpsee by delishtreats@delishtreats

" Hidden deep in the mountains, Talalpsee is not a spot where many tourists would come, hence it's the perfect place if you want to go for a walk, enjoy the sun and the views, have a beer with locals or simply admire your surroundings. In the past, only the left side of the lake was open to public but this year they opened the right side as well, so it was the first time for us to see it from a different perspective. 馃 My Time with the Gentle Giants Under Water | Oslob Whale Shark Watching, Cebu by glecerioberto@glecerioberto

" Our first destination on that day was Oslob, a town famous for its whale sharks. The whale sharks don't actually live there. They were just enticed to keep going back to the place after the local fishermen fed them with krills. The tourist attraction is somewhat tainted with controversy. There's a debate about whether it is good for whale sharks to be staying in one location and be surrounded by humans for long periods of time."
