🥇 Ancient culture, shamanism and rituals of sacrifice, Lijiang, China by @digi-me

A couple of years ago I was on a tour of China. One of the provinces we spent time in was Yunnan. Lijiang is one of the larger cities that we used as a base to explore surrounding areas. Our hotel was situated in the old part of town with cobbled, narrow streets and alleys that made us feel as if we walked in a labyrinth. Lijiang is also home to the ethnic minority group of the Naxi people. Lijiang is situated in the northwestern corner of Yunnan, close to Tibet. Because of similarities to the Tibetans, it is believed that the Naxi people originally came from Tibet. They are not only influenced by the Tibetans, but also by the Han Chinese when it comes to culture and religion. The Dongba religion is a shamanistic religion with a close connection with nature. Long before it was established, sorcery and sacrificial ceremonies were practiced.

🥈 The beauty in an old feudal capital, Hue, Vietnam by @vietvupham

On the first days of the new year, let's go around and discover Hue Imperial City. This is my hometown where is a famous destination imbued with Vietnamese history. Hue city used to be the old capital of feudalism that as known has many unique architectural works such as the palace, mausoleum, and the strange natural beauty.

🥉 Road trip through three country's, Schéissendëmpel Waterfall, Luxembourg by @haastrecht

It took me a while but here is my last post of my road trip trough out the Benelux! Today we ended up in Luxembourg, there is a trail trough out a nature reserve called the Multilateral trail! The landscape here is covered with towering sandstone rock formations and little rivers! We hope the weather would have been more landscape photo proof but you cant control that!
