Hi everyone it's @lizanomadsoul here with the Monday edition of the #TravelDigest.
Another day of great places and stories around the globe to read about! This time we have great stories from the US, Pakistan, Japan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Australia, Bangladesh, Curacao and Egypt - So a little bit of everything! - Enjoy 😉
After our hike to Hells Gate my mom, her friend Ann, and I headed up on to the top of the Mogollon Rim. We checked out the campgrounds and found a spot to setup camp for the night. In the morning we got all our gear ready, tossed on our backpacks and hit the trail. We dropped off the top of the rim and descended down the Sinkhole trail for a few miles to where it met with the eastern end of The Highline National Recreation Trail, the trail we would be following for the next 50+ miles.

So, now is the morning before flying from Gilgit to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan with an international airport. Soon we will be there, and in a few hours, we will board the second flight, the plane that will take us home. Only now we have managed to check-in for a flight from Islamabad to home. We are already in anticipation, it is only a couple of hours to fly to the city. We had breakfast and went to the airport, which, it turns out, does not work around the clock: we arrived and waited in front of closed doors together with other passengers — they will only be opened for boarding the flight. Time is ticking, our departure should be in half an hour, at 9:30 am, and we are still not allowed to the airport. The guard smokes inside in the corner at the entrance and throws the ashes into a flower pot. We are waiting and a little nervous.

Hello again fellow travelers! Last time I showed you a part of our trip to Japan. After we explored Osaka and Kyoto, we had a couple days left in Tokyo and this is where we'll take from today. Quick disclamer - turned out we did a lot more videos than photos while in Tokyo so the photos aren't much nor great because it's all done by phone. The photographer inside me wasn't bullied enough to learn the craft yet. 😀
