Do you want to know what motivated me to achieve it until the finale?
Since I started blogging actively on Hive on August 2022, I have always been wishing to achieve the Monthly Author Badge, but I always fail every time due to several factors. I tried to reach the Monthly Author Achievement on December 2022 and February 2023, but unfortunately, I have been unable.
I may have completed the Weekly Author Badge and was notified by Hive Buzz as a Buzzy Bee 10 times but not the Monthly Author Achievement.
And that it is all because of the Hive Blog Posting Month, #HiveBloPoMo initiated by a fantastic soul, @traciyork.
When the HPUD or the Hive Power Up Day approached, I saw a post from traciyork about the challenge. I was inquisitive, so I paid attention to every detail reiterated about the challenge. Here is a link with the details for HiveBloPoMo.
Me being a dreamer to achieve the monthly author badge, I was very excited to join and be challenged every single day despite a busy world. But as for me, it was a sense of time management between the natural world and the virtual world. For as long as I have the passion for continuing, any of my dream or aim will never die, but I am just before my objective is gone in a blink.
In the real world, I am a teacher, so I get busy with school-related work and simultaneously with the ancillary task designated to me being the Curriculum Coordinator and others. But I always treat Hive as my journal and my diary where I can share all my emotions and feelings freely, making writing a pavement for me to express myself.
I must say that I have loved to be in Hive since I started being active, not only for a beautiful ecosystem but also for having great people who had been both my inspiration and the ones who had inspired me to keep going despite the tragic moments in my life. If not because of erikasue, my late sister’s motivation and my promise to her to stay here, indeed, I would have been in another world.
I started my first post for April about the HPUD. On the second day, it was all about reconciliation day. On the third day, about the rainbow day, On the fourth day, it was all about the tell-a-lie day. And on the fifth day was all about my Wednesday Walk. The sixth day was all about National Beer Day and Throwback Thursday. The seventh and eighth days were Caturday Post, And what made me a Buzzy Bee was my post about Name Yourself Day.
The first week ran smoothly until the second week came with my posts about Movie Monday, National Pet Day, Wednesday Walk, International Plant Appreciation Day, International Moment of Laughter Day, Record Store Day, and Sublime Sunday. And on the third week, I completed the daily challenges with my post about International Haiku Poetry Day, Freewriter’s prompt, Wednesday Walk, Volunteer Recognition Day, Market Friday, Earth Day, and Sublime Sunday.
I had a high fever and was affected by tonsillitis. You know how hard it is to have severely inflamed tonsils that I hardly eat and do everything. Posting on the last week of the challenge has been challenging because I need to take care of myself first and recover from my illness.
It was difficult to post content daily because every time I post to Hive, I always see that I would try to achieve quality content or any writing from my humble heart, not just content that farms rewards.
It does not matter how low or high the rewards I get, but what matters to me is to express myself as I love to try one thing that I have never tried before, and that is blogging and content creation.
Aside from achieving the Monthly Author Badge and challenge of the day, I was fortunate to acquire the Hive Daily Top Performer Achievement in one of my posts. In total, I had achieved it four times.
And as well as being featured in the ASEAN Hive community for being Hiver of the Week.
I never thought I could achieve these, but one thing is for sure, it would not be possible without the motivation of the challenge.
And I must say that it was so timely. Honestly, I only aimed to write a post daily, but my goal seemed more than I expected for achieving the rare awards.
Hurray for completing the challenge! And I won the priceless feeling of completing an achievement daily from the first day up to the 30th day or the finale!
