I felt nostalgic about the good old days when I went to a place that holds a special place in my heart, not to mention that it left a lot of memories when I was younger and it made me reminisce about my high school days.
When I visited Agusan Canyon, I had a great time and that is the moment when I decided to pass again to the stairs I never passed for almost twenty years now.

Walking down memory lane to my high school days, I always feel that was the best for it was a period that filled me with so many memories of both sadness and joy.
Perhaps it was a nostalgic walk from Agusan Canyon to Camp Phillips, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines.
Camp Phillips belongs to Agusan Canyon but since it was an exclusive place before when the Americans went to the area and only intended for Del Monte employees, the place had built its name that became popular even to travelers across the country.
And that, one fine afternoon after I visited the Church of Agusan for the feast of Birhen Medalla Milagrosa, I decided to pass through the long stairs since it has been a while since I have not used it after I graduated High School.
I passed the stairs although it was a daunting task of conquering a long flight of stairs of over 200 steps that stood between me and my destination.
I was physically challenged due to my feet condition of experiencing a fracture before but I tried. Good thing I was having a great enthusiasm to climb up.
While I was climbing up, I had quick photos of the stairs with many falling leaves and it felt like autumn. Here are some quick snaps of the tall trees and the stairs as I was ascending.
There is no autumn season here in the Philippines so I was truly delighted to see the trees with cool autumn colors.
I captured many photos from different angles while playing with the stairs and the trees.
I could not imagine that the trees were so alive and it felt like it was just high school days. Still, there were many vegetations and full of greenery as I was looking at the sides. And there were also minimal houses.
Honestly, I did not know about this place until my boyfriend way back in high school let me pass by this area. He was living in Agusan so it was a piece of cake for this guy to pass here every day without panting.
Did you know that after ascending the old stairs and seemingly endless stairs, a great place awaited me at the top?
The sight that welcomed me at the top was so spectacular as I have seen a place full of green.
And that place was Camp Phillips, Bukidnon. The place where my school way back in High School was located.
This is my School, Holy Cross High School. It has existed for more than 70 years old now. My school, a private Catholic institution, has been standing proudly in front of the soccer field, serving as a constant reminder of my commitment to education.
The building was old although some parts were already renovated. But I love the part without renovation to have a taste of the past.
And then in front of it is a breathtaking field with a scenic view. I so love the atmosphere for its relaxing ambiance and it feels like I am in my comfort zone.
I remember back then, while my classmates pursued their athletic ambitions, I focused my energy on excelling academically.
Before, when I watched my classmates engage in their sporting endeavors, I am so busy in my studies, striving to achieve academic excellence. It was a path I had chosen for myself, and I was determined to make the most of it, yet I did not regret any.
To be honest, I had never been a sports enthusiast myself, but watching them play ignited a sense of admiration within me. My classmates were among those talented players, and I felt a sense of pride knowing that they excelled in this field.
Meanwhile, as I take a walk while admiring the picturesque landscape, a soccer ball almost hit me.
And here is that ball in the color yellow. Just before I returned it to the owner, I captured it as I was also seeing the dry leaves on the green grass.
Afterward, my attention diverted to a group of soccer players who were carrying the net to a certain place.
I was fascinated as I saw them carrying it. I heard them talking and some were laughing. I guess they were high school players and some were players in elementary.
At a distance, I have also seen elementary players engaged in a passionate game. Their teamwork and enthusiasm captivated me. And here are some quick snaps I captured in the green fields.
I continued walking around the fields and when I am feeling tired, I simply sat at the benches while being idle for a moment but made the most of my time to enjoy a mesmerizing place.
Indeed, the Camp Phillips field was full of lush greenery and it was a breathtaking view bringing me to tranquility and serenity as I am also breathing the fresh air.
Perhaps it was a relaxing walk and a moment of solace amidst the chaos and pressures of high school. What a delightful experience and I love to be back here for another exciting moments.
